Jacob
Born October 26, 2005, Jacob Odom is the voice behind Confessional. What started 6 years ago as a passion for heavy vocals turned into years of grinding, writing, and building a sound rooted in pain, aggression, and truth. Since 2023, Jacob has focused on writing his own lyrics and turning personal experiences into music meant to hit hard both emotionally and live. Inspired by bands like Lamb Of God, Whitechapel, and Slipknot, he delivers intense performances backed by raw energy and emotion. Confessional may be his first band, but after multiple live performances, the stage has already become a home to continue pushing himself and his music to heavier and more honest places.

Mike
Born July 15, 1982, Michael Roark’s musical journey began behind the drum kit in 1992. Growing up with a deep appreciation for rock, metal, punk, and progressive music, he found inspiration in bands like Red Hot Chili Peppers, Metallica, Rush, Dead Kennedys, and Led Zeppelin. These influences helped shape his appreciation for musicianship, rhythm, energy, and the raw connection between a band and a live audience. In 2000, Michael expanded his musical path by picking up the bass guitar. His experience as a drummer naturally carried over into his bass playing, giving him a strong sense of timing and an instinct for locking in with the rhythm section. Over the years, playing live became more than simply performing music—it became a way to connect with people, feed off the energy of a crowd, and be part of something bigger than the individual musician. Today, Michael brings that same passion for rhythm and live performance to every show, combining the groove of a drummer with the power and presence of a bassist.
Mike proudly uses:

Combustion 6-string Dingwall bass
